As a board certified High Complexity Laboratory Director, Dr. Meintjes brings his extensive background and expertise to the work of Texas Cell Institute. He is also a Clinical Consultant through the Board of Bioanalysts. He has extensive experience in cell culture, cryopreservation and tissue banking. He has published immensely and is often a featured national and international speaker in his field.
Dr. Meintjes completed his doctorate degree in reproductive physiology, embryo biotechnology and cell culture technology at Louisana State University (LSU) and assisted in the development of new and innovative techniques currently still being used. After graduation Dr. Meintjes worked at fertility centers in more than seven states. More recently he served as the Program and Scientific Director for the ARTS programs at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, and Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. In 2008, Dr. Meitjes was one of the founding members of the Frisco Surgery Center and Frisco IVF laboratories.
